Lowercase Alphabet Magnets

Regular price $65.00 CAD

These tree slice alphabet magnets are a beautiful alternative to plastic letter magnets. Lowercase letters from a to z have been wood burned into each "tree cookie", then strongly affixed with a magnet on the back.

These small birch tree slices have all been kiln dried to prevent future cracks and to ensure there are no insects present. They have been lightly sanded to eliminate any sharp edges, but left with their natural raw wooden texture in order to maintain all the benefits of their tactile surface. No sealant or varnish has been applied to the wooden discs, allowing their natural qualities to remain intact.

When your child plays with these wooden letter magnets on a vertical surface such as a fridge or a metal door, it brings the task closer to their eyes, which helps to encourage hand-eye coordination. Children benefit from working with letter magnets on an upright surface because they are able to stand and move around (and as we all know, children are more engaged when they are able to be up and moving!).

Each set comes in a sturdy, handmade drawstring bag made of high quality canvas.

* tree slices are approximately 1 1/4 " (3 cm) in diameter and are 3/8" (1 cm) thick
* height of the letters is about 5/8" (16mm)
* recommended for ages 4 and up
* 1/2" magnets on the back

Please note these tree slices are natural wood. As part of their natural charm, some birch bark may flake or peel off, and the size and shape may vary.

CAUTION & IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MAGNETS:
* Magnets are approximately 1/2" diameter, and 1/16" thick. (Please refer to photo in listing)
* Keep out of reach of infants, toddlers and pets (recommended age 3+, and only with adult supervision).
* Do not leave your child unsupervised when playing with these magnets.
* Dropping magnets, or snapping magnets together forcefully, may result in chipping or breakage.
